Another outstanding run for Sam in North Carolina
Sam's second trip to Hickory Motor Speedway this past weekend proved to be another great achievement. Friday night's race was cancelled due to rain, but the weather cooperated on Saturday and Sam was pumped up and ready to roll.
Just as he did last week, Sam played another patient waiting game, making his way to the front of the pack from his 6th qualifying position. Toward the end of the race, Sam and three other frontrunners had lined up one after the other, each waiting for the others to make a mistake. As it turned out, he drove Lee Faulk's #73 car across the finish line in 4th place.
Sam can't wait to go back again. The next visit could very well be the biggest race of his life, as he will be competing in a 250 lap race—more than he has ever ran before. This will take place the weekend of September 29th and 30th at Hickory Motor Speedway.
Sam will be testing his Super Late model this week and should be up and running pretty soon. We will keep you posted.
We would like to send Sam to North Carolina for next season, but we need some serious sponsorship. If you would like to take part in helping Sam’s racing career, please contact us. You can help make his dream come true. Thank you for continuing to visit the web site and keeping track of Sam's results!
