Sam Wins In New Smyrna!

This past weekend was supposed to be just a test for Sam to get the 73 car to handle better around New Smyrna track in preparation for next weekend’s Goodyear 100-lap event. Sam and his crew chiefs, Michael and Michael Sean Williams, spent a lot of time last week trying different things with the car to try to get it faster.
Whatever they did seemed to work, as Sam was quite happy with the car prior to the race. Sam started in the inside 5th spot. At the drop of the green he stayed calm and passed the 22 car of Clouser, who was testing for Ali Owens. He then got around Bruns cleanly and set his sights on the 53 car of Brown. It didn’t take long for Sam to shorten the lead that Brown had over everyone, and before he knew it, Sam passed him to take over the first spot. From that point forward Sam never looked back, taking the green flag ahead of the 2 car of Curelli.
This was a good solid run for Sam, putting him in good stead for this week’s upcoming 100-lap race. Come and cheer Sam on this Saturday night at New Smyrna as he tries to get another win!
