The first race of the season is always expected to be interesting, with a lot of new drivers and everyone eager to race after the close for winter. Out of 28 cars, Sam qualified 3rd fastest. The pole sitter drew a 9, which meant Sam would start in 7th position. After a bad start that took out a few cars, Sam was heading into 4th position when he got tangled with #26 Travis Cope while coming aroung the outside. This ended Sam's run for the night on a bad note.
Sam is looking forward to the next goodyear race at Bronson as he got his first ever Goodyear pole at that track last year. He led for 90 laps and then was pushed out of the lead by 1x of Burkalter. This time sam is looking to take the win or be near the front. Watch out for Sam at Bronson on April 1st.
