Sam has great first race in Dickies sponsored Ford Fusion
Sam had a good week last week as Dickies announced it would come on board and help sponsor Sam’s #25 car in North Carolina!
Sam tested the new car last Tuesday but it needed some adjustments, which were made in time for further testing on Friday. Afterwards, he was extremely happy with the car and very anxious to get the first race under way.
Friday’s weather was warm, but temperatures dropped drastically on Saturday. Sam was the last car out to qualify, but when he finally did, he put down the second fastest time—only 3/100 of a second slower than the pole sitter. This situated Sam on outside pole for the feature race.
At the drop of the green flag, the lead car spun out on the first lap, which gave Sam the lead, but also caused the race to be restarted. On the restart, He settled in second spot, avoided all the wrecks and cautions. On the restarts, Sam tried to get under the leader, but all of his attempts were shut down. He finished the race in second place.
“My Dickies Ford Fusion was great, but tightened up towards the end of the race. I was glad to finish this race and finish it in one piece” Sam said, extremely happy at the outcome.
“My whole team did a great job in getting my car going. I want to thank Lee and Michael Faulk for their help. My team was very happy, and everyone is looking forward to running Friday night at Tri-County, and again on Saturday night at Hickory.”
Come Cheer Sam on Friday and Saturday nights to show him your support!
